Hello, my name is Anna Matthews. Since graduating in 1996 with a BA Ed (Honours) I have been employed in various independent and Local Authority schools in the South West, teaching 3-7 year olds (Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2).
My passion is working within the early years and I enjoy working closely with the children and their parents in a fun learning environment.
I have been a member of Girl Guiding Uk since 1978 and have been a leader of Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units. My more recent appointments have been joint Commissioner of Weston-Mendip District and Weston-super-Mare Division Adult Leadership Qualification Coordinator. I also enjoy fundraising for ‘The Luhimba Project’, a small Weston-super-Mare based charity which supports the improvement of education, health and agriculture in a remote village in Southern Tanzania.
